Last updated: March 9, 2026

📱 Program Description

HiveWire provides an optional SMS alert notification service for registered users of the HiveWire precision apiary monitoring platform. When enabled, you will receive automated text messages when your hive sensor data triggers alert conditions you have configured (e.g., temperature out of range, weight anomalies, humidity warnings, inspection reminders).

Opt-In & Consent

SMS alerts are strictly opt-in. You will never receive SMS messages from HiveWire unless you:

Upon opting in, you will receive a one-time confirmation message verifying your enrollment.

Sample confirmation message: "HiveWire: You have opted in to SMS alert notifications. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time. Msg & data rates may apply."

Sample alert message: "HiveWire CRITICAL: High Temperature on hive-001 — Temperature 105.2°F exceeds threshold of 100°F."

💬 Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on the alert rules you configure. You control which alerts trigger SMS notifications through the Alerts page in your dashboard. Typical usage ranges from 0 to 10 messages per week, depending on hive conditions and your alert thresholds.

Msg & data rates may apply. Check with your carrier for details.
